Mouldsworth, Cheshire: creating a grand design in rural Cheshire

The client

Private clients

The brief

NWD Architects was approached by private clients were looking to build a stunning new home in the heart of Cheshire.

The site had previously had planning approval refused and then won at appeal. A subsequent scheme was then submitted, once the principle of a new dwelling was secured.

NWD’s approach

One of our experienced RIBA registered Architects at NWD Architects, Heather Done, worked closely with the client to design something unique yet charming, incorporating grand design elements whilst still retaining the feel of a functional family home.

The outcome

With planning permission granted, the build took 12 months to complete.

Decorative, lattice brickwork at the front of the property gives a hint of the grandeur within. Inside, visitors are greeted by a splendid split staircase with a grand chandelier, leading to ample rooms upstairs, while an open-plan living area and views over the garden and terrace make the most of the rural space available.
